What struck me most is that you accidentally rediscovered a principle we use in software engineering: bugs often live in the specification, not the implementation.

NotebookLM wasn't "wrong" it satisfied the requirements you gave it. Once you formalized your expectations with a prompt contract, the outputs improved dramatically. That's a useful reminder that with LLM’s, better requirements often beat better models.
