The Wi-Fi Router 📶
The router takes radio signals and sends them out around the house—kinda like a mini radio station for your home.Your Device Connects 📱💻
Phones, laptops and tablets have tiny antennas that pick up those Wi-Fi signals and connect instantly. Boom—you’re on social media.Buffering…. 📈
The farther you are from the router—or the more walls between you & the signal—the longer you’ll have to wait for that post.⌚ That’s the frequencies come in:Wi-Fi uses 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. One is better for distance, the other for speed—and modern routers often use both!
Home or Office
So, you’re home, connected to the Wi-Fi, that’s your Internet Source. You leave and head to the office—your cellular provider(say AT&T) gives you internet on the go. Then you arrive at the office. Your phone automatically connects to Wi-Fi—cause you previously connected when you got hired. Now you’re back online. 📶
